We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities For Dining Assistants

• Makes resident satisfaction the number one priority.




• Serves meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient and courteous manner.




• Assures compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).




• Assists residents with menu selections as needed.




• Tracks residents’ attendance at meals.




• Delivers meals to resident rooms as required.




• Prepares dining room prior to each meal by performing necessary cleaning and stocking.




• Cleans tables and chairs after meals and pick-up floor areas.




• Returns all dishes to the kitchen.




• Always maintains clean and sanitary work environment.




• Reports equipment safety issues to Dining Services Director.




• Cooperates to get work done and is flexible with daily schedule. Assists in food inventory and/or wash dishes when needed.




• Assists in breaking down deliveries and puts away stock as needed.




• Follows standards for time and attendance.




• Displays professionalism and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.




• Provides support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.




• Communicates any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.




• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.




• Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.




• Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.




• Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
