Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement data-driven site merchandising strategies that maximize engagement, sales, and conversion for all product categories at the same time promoting product discovery.
- Responsible for strategically optimizing the product category hierarchy to ensure navigation, improved searchability, and increased conversion rates.
- Use analytics tools to generate insights to inform decisions on category organization, product placement, and navigation enhancements.
- Make recommendations for optimizing desktop and mobile homepage layout designs after analyzing browsing and engagement data.
- Optimize revenue through customer segmentation (new vs. returning customers, geographic, category affinity).
- Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing team to develop site launch plans for new product introductions.
- Build and maintain site audit schedule and perform frequent site audits to share opportunities with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of site updates in correlation with all marketing, sale, and seasonal brand needs.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell strategies and oversee implementation and performance to maximize sales and build customer baskets.
- Manage internal site search technology to implement intuitive product browsing and search strategies, optimized internal search rules, and advanced product recommendations.
- Optimize search results and filters to improve user satisfaction.
- Implement SEO best practices to enhance the visibility of key product categories on search engines
- Maintain SEO friendly URLs, headers, and meta tags for category pages.
- Optimize category pages with relevant keywords and ensure they provide a clear hierarchy for both users and search engines.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website merchandising (Key Campaigns, Homepage, Category, Sub-Category, and Global Navigation Performance).
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on analytics.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and conduct regular competitor analysis to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Benchmark the website performance against industry standards and competitors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
- Experience with Nosto, Fast Simon, Algolio or Similar is required.
- Experience in Shopify Plus, Google Analytics, and Tapcart is a plus
- Proficient in SEO copywriting a plus
