Description
The NISC IV program is seeking a proficient Digital Media and Accessibility Specialist that can support our valued customer at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Use your excellent communications skills and Digital Media skills, strong interpersonal skills (both oral & written) to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review, and remediate digital content for Section 508 compliance.
- In collaboration with SME(s), develop digital content that is accessible to all individuals while meeting client communication needs.
- Using Adobe Creative Suite of applications, create graphic design products that are accessible, compelling, on-brand, and meets project needs.
- Provide training to AHR staff as needed, and by request, on the creation and remediation of digital content for Section 508 compliance.
- Meet with AHR clients, providing consultation and developing recommendations to enhance the accessibility of communication products in development.
- Develop training modules focused on core topics for federal employees including, general awareness of Section 508 requirements, accessibility best practices for PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and making multimedia accessible.
- Develop reports for monitoring and tracking accessibility activities, including but not limited to, trainings given, documents remediated, and client consultations provided.
- Design and prepare briefings and/or special presentations, and prepare customized or special graphics, reports, charts, and media to enhance the effectiveness of communications regarding the AHR mission for FAA approval.
- Provide strategic AHR communications planning and development, including print and digital content, together with designing, writing, producing, and distributing communications materials.
- Provide graphic support for the web, intranet, Smart Book and other digital products.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations, and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills while thriving in deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to efficiently plan, provide for contingencies, balance competing demands, adapt to change, and remain focused to deliver results.
- Drupal experience is highly preferred.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
