We are looking for a highly skilled Digital Manual Accessibility Auditor Contractor to join our team. As an auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating the accessibility of our Digital Manuals and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and experience in conducting comprehensive accessibility audits. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using accessibility testing tools and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits for our Digital Manuals
- Evaluate the accessibility of content and identify any barriers
- Recommend and implement solutions for accessibility improvements
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure accessibility standards are met
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital accessibility
Successful applicants will produce the following results:
-Accurately review and identify WCAG 2.1 success criteria levels A/AA that have been met/not
met on websites and on mobile apps.
- Compiling findings into approved company reporting format.
- Leveraging existing company processes to prescribe accurate remedies, and instructive guidance
on remedy application for WCAG criteria that have not been met based on the current
implementation of the feature/element. o Remedies and guidance must be delivered in a
written style that is suitable for comprehension for our client audiences.
- Communicate accessibility issues and remedies to clients in service meetings.
Responsibilities
- The Digital Manual Accessibility Auditor Contractor role will participate in the process of
delivering Manual Accessibility Audits to company clients as part of a team of digital accessibility
professionals
- Leveraging existing company processes to prescribe accurate remedies, and instructive guidance
on remedy application for WCAG criteria that have not been met based on the current
implementation of the feature/element
- Remedies and guidance must be delivered in a written style that is suitable for comprehension
for our web developers
- Communicate accessibility issues and remedies to clients in service meetings
Qualifications:
Accurately review and identify WCAG 2.1 success criteria levels A/AA that have been met/not
met on websites and on mobile apps
- 1-2 years previous experience in Manual Accessibility Audits
- Prior experience, demonstrated knowledge, or education regarding:
o Data analysis, extrapolation, and reporting methods, including analytical software
o Automated accessibility testing procedures for web sites, software, and online venues
o Explaining the accessibility requirements associated with the WCAG 2.0 level A/AA
principles and guidelines to technical and non-technical audiences
o Ability to read and understand basic HTML markup and CSS style sheets
o User interface web design concepts and principles when designing for users with
disabilities (e.g., styling and readability, layout, navigation, focus indicators, color
contrast, use of color, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of the application of internationally recognized accessibility
guidelines including WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to digital
formats
- Excellent written and expressive communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team setting
- Ability to simultaneously take work direction and to work autonomously
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, etc
- Prior experience, demonstrated knowledge, or education regarding user- experience testing.
- Lived experience, demonstrated knowledge, or education regarding assistive computer
technology and devices (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition software).
NOTE: Demonstration of WCAG/Section 508 knowledge and Manual Accessibility Audit capabilities is required during the interview process for this role
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.31 - $30.48 per hour
