Digital Lending Specialist

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

We are a remote first company with the exception of a few positions being onsite in our designated locations. The positions which are remote you will need to be able to travel a few times a year. You may be required at times to visit client sites or attend meetings at designated locations with your team members.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Digital Operations Manager, the Digital Lending Specialist will perform a variety of loan processing and operational functions in connection with Commercial and Consumer loans. This includes managing and coordinating the loan processing functions and any operational activities related to the commercial and consumer loan lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loan Approval and Documentation:

• Ensure accurate and proper approval, documentation, closing, funding, and booking of loans.
• Adhere to applicable credit approvals, loan policies, state and federal regulations, and legal standards.

Loan Processing and Support:

• Provide quality service and effective loan processing support for Digital Lending clients.
• Assist in gathering, preparing, and maintaining loan documentation for new and existing loans.

Knowledge Management:

• Establish and maintain organized files and records for loan documentation.
• Build and maintain lending procedures, checklists, and workflows to ensure compliance and meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high levels of service, quality, and compliance in all business lending workflow processes.
• Complete loan checklists, personal loan audits, and participate in quality assurance (QA) and audit requests.

Reporting and Compliance:

• Ensure appropriate documentation is received and completed at the time of application and/or origination.

Post-Closing Duties:

• Perform various post-closing duties, including following up on final title policies and deeds, paying fees, and conducting quality control.

Process Improvement:

• Participate in the review and recommendation of automation and/or robotic systems to enhance scalability and eliminate manual processes.

Issue Resolution and Support:

• Support audit requests, regulatory updates, compliance requests, and resolve loan operational issues in a timely manner.

Client Relationship:

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of client lending policies, procedures, and philosophies.
• Apply loan expertise to create or refine a best-in-class program for digital clients, ensuring world-class experiences for end-users.

Problem Solving:

• Identify and investigate problems independently, asking pertinent questions to drive shared understanding.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned by DXC Leadership.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:



• Experience analyzing financial data related to loan requests
• Experience Performing risk assessments on potential loan recipients based on credit rating, borrowing history, and other specific risk factors
• Applied knowledge of underwriting fundamentals and standard industry practices



QUALIFICATIONS:



• 1-2 years experience in a lending support role (i.e., unsecured, commercial, mortgage, SBA, special assets, etc.)
• Experience in multiple products and/or multiple phases of the commercial and/or consumer loan lifecycle is preferred
• Current on trends in Fintech and Lending; familiarity with the digital banking ecosystem is a plus
• Highly passionate and positive in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and in an organized manner delivering consistent results
• Experience with solving problems through technology and ability to make decisions
• Excellent communication skills and outstanding active listening abilities
• Experience using tools and loan origination platforms, and credit analysis software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

Salary & Benefits:

• $50,000 - $60,000 Annual Salary
