Digital Forensic Examiner

100% Remote Position

Elite Digital Forensics, a leading firm in the cyber investigation arena, is currently seeking an experienced Digital Forensics Examiner to join our team on an as-needed basis based on case volume W2 and 10-99 positions available. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled professional who excels in conducting comprehensive Digital Forensic investigations across a diverse array of cases. The successful candidate will be adept at analyzing a wide range of digital media, including but not limited to computers, cell phones, IoT devices, and cloud-based data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth cyber forensic investigations to uncover and analyze digital evidence across various cases.
• Analyze digital media, including computers, mobile devices, IoT devices, and cloud storage, to support investigations.
• Utilize a variety of Digital Forensic tools and techniques to extract, preserve, and analyze digital evidence.
• Prepare detailed and coherent forensic reports summarizing findings and methodologies used in investigations.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the Digital Forensics field to enhance investigative processes.
• Collaborate with clients, attorneys and other stakeholders as required, providing expert insights and testimony when necessary.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Digital Forensics or cyber investigations.
• Proven experience as a Digital Forensics Examiner, with a strong portfolio of successfully resolved cyber forensic investigations.
• Proficiency in using various Digital Forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, or similar.
• Relevant certifications in Digital Forensics such as Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or equivalent.
• Familiarity with forensic analysis of different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive forensic reports.
• A commitment to ethical investigation practices, with a thorough understanding of the legal implications of Digital Forensic work.
