Oncology Dietitians are primarily responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care, Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), and nutrition education for oncology patients at multiple clinic sites throughout the region.
This position develops and implements best-practice strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities, primarily focusing on oncology-specific dietetics.
Responsibilities include planning, administering, and managing programs that improve the health of individuals impacted by cancer and the community, both one-on-one and community-based group nutrition education for adults; maintaining grant and contract requirements, program budgets, and expenses; integration of nutritional programming and services throughout the cancer care continuum.
Dietitians serve as a health resource for the community and support the community in behavior change through promoting and advocating for public health.
