Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents/patients in a healthcare setting
- Follow dietary restrictions and guidelines provided by healthcare professionals
- Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling trays
- Deliver meals to residents/patients' rooms or dining areas
- Clear tables and clean dishes after meals
- Provide excellent customer service to residents/patients and their families
Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special diets (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium)
- Experience working in a hospital, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting is a plus
- Ability to cook basic meals is an asset
