Dietary Aide

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation, handling, and service within our dietary department. Your attention to detail, time management skills, and commitment to providing excellent customer service will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our patients and residents.

Duties:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the dietary staff
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
- Serve meals to patients and residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Clear tables and clean dining areas after meals
- Assist with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth operation of meal services
- Adhere to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs of patients and residents
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked

Skills:
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient meal service
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive dining experience for patients and residents
- Knowledge of food service procedures and practices
- Basic food preparation skills, including cutting, chopping, and measuring ingredients
- Proper food handling techniques to maintain food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with hospital or healthcare dietary departments is a plus
