Shift: 11 am - 7:30 pm
Position Summary:
Provide quality nutritional care to residents through accurate and sanitary tray assembly and cleaning activities. This position functions under strict Federal, State, and local regulations, which must be learned and practiced.
Job duties:
- Correct portioning of breakfast fruits, salads, desserts, milk, bread, margarine, juices, special nourishment and food items as dictated by the menu breakdown and individual diet cards.
- Assembling approximately 275 patient trays each meal period, efficiently and accurately, within a given time period.
- Cleaning all equipment, fixtures, floors, and walls in the assembly and service areas at the end of each shift and during the shift as needed. This includes sweeping/moping the floor as needed.
- Washing all dishes, silverware and serving equipment at the end of each shift, or as needed during the shift.
- Operating, maintaining and cleaning all equipment as it is necessary
- Performs clean-up duties as assigned by the Diet Aide Team Leader.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and comprehend
Previous experience working in food service, (fast food, schools, cafeteria, restaurant or health care) is preferred but not necessary.
