ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for the repairs and maintenance for our ready mix fleet. Performs the appropriate inspections, preventative and corrective repairs on fleet of vehicle/mobile equipment. Prepares all daily/weekly operating, safety, and maintenance reports as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Engine diagnostics,hydraulic systems, and chassis / body repairs, cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication of equipment, work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges / metersadvanced diagnostic equipment
- Assist with supporting equipment breakdowns and performing field
- Repairs as necessary, commitment and support of an interdependent zero injury safety culture
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required Education: High School diploma/GED
- Additional Education Preferred: Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems within a ready mix truck or refuse truck application. Welding and fabrication skills desired. Can bus protocol and diagnostic experience.
- Knowledge of OEM software platforms. Ie: Cummins Insite / Quickserve, Cat ET, Paccar Davie4 / ESA, Daimler DDEC / DTNA, Bendix Acom Etc. Some technical education preferred, experience substituted in lieu of formal education.
- Required Work Experience: 2+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein. Applicant must be able to provide own tools necessary to perform the functions and requirements within the Maintenance Department.
- Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Class B CDL preferred, ASE T1 – T8, OEM / Mfg. designated training, OSHA 10

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- Work to include both on site and at designated shop facilities.
- Rotational Saturday coverage. Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently shovel for 3 minutes with an 8 lb. shovel, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
