ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim is an environmentally responsible producer of high quality construction materials. We operate seven regional construction materials businesses and a national Building Materials business in the United States, supplying aggregate-based materials and contracting services to a wide range of projects including large, publicly financed infrastructure projects, commercial, and residential developments. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand and gravel is enhanced by value adding operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing operations are also offered in some business regions. Currently we are seeking high energy candidates with experience and with a combination of the following;

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

 

  • Provides timely and accurate tickets to customers ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scale.
  • Assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking. 
  • Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce appropriate customer tickets. 
  • Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy. Collects COD money and properly records it. 
  • Fill in for our other AGG scale masters when they are on vacation or off; specifically Taunton, Littleton, Swampscott, Peabody and Raymond, NH.Home scale house is Wrentham and travel with own vehicle from there, travel mileage will be reimbursed 
  • Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on daily basis. Transfers all files and tickets transfer files at least twice daily. Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others in their absence. 
  • Tares trucks (empty weight) on weekly basis and records as appropriate as well as maintains accurate records of tons sold by product. 
  • Maintains product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions. Performs housekeeping duties to ensure that scale house is clean and orderly. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years of administrative and customer service experience ,have good computer skills, excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, be flexible in the nature of work assignments, have the ability to work independently, to prioritize, to maintain confidentiality and to pay strict attention to details . A is required. All necessary training will be provided.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
