Automotive/Diesel Technician

For over 15 years, Jay’s Automotive has provided honest and premium quality automotive and diesel services to the Eaton/northern Colorado community. We are looking for experienced automotive technicians to join our team! We expect our shop to be the best in the industry; therefore, we offer our technicians the best wages in the industry.

We also offer an hourly guarantee plus a $5,000 signing bonus for those who qualify.

Requirements include:
-Prior experience as a technician
-A positive attitude
-A valid driver’s license
-The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:
-Ability to verify, acknowledge and understand customer concerns
-Perform repair and maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, tire replacements, fluid exchanges, brake repair, alignments, and major repair
-Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with shop standards
-Perform multi-point inspections and recommend service/repairs based on inspection of vehicle
-Ability to use state-of-art diagnostic tools and have a basic knowledge of computers to enter relevant information and check engine codes
-Document diagnostic procedures, findings, recommendations and services performed in compliance with the procedures outlined by management
-Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
-Explain diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers, if necessary
-Perform quality control checks to ensure quality repair/service is provided
-Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
-Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including, but not limited to routinely lifting 50-70 pounds
-Must have a good attitude and work well with others as a team toward a common goal.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
