Job Description:
Step into the forefront of the compact construction equipment industry as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic. We are actively seeking a talented Service Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer relations and representing our unwavering commitment to exceptional service. Responsibilities:
- Perform daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment, with a focus on the Bobcat line.
- Execute system rebuilds and overhauls.
- Undertake welding tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with various company departments, including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Effectively communicate with customers.
- This role is consistently active, involving activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lying, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
- The employee may frequently lift and/or move items exceeding 50 lbs.
- Various movements required for the job may exert strain on muscles, joints, tendons, and involve the use of arms, chest, shoulders, and back.
- Specific vision requirements encompass close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy equipment service operations, including skid steers, excavators, etc.
- Strong mechanical background with exceptional skills in diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and adept at maintaining composure under pressure from multiple ongoing projects. Proficient in computer skills.
- Pre-Employment drug screening and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify) are mandatory for all positions.
Work Environment:
- While fulfilling job responsibilities, employees will frequently encounter fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
- Occasionally, this role involves exposure to various extreme conditions, as it encompasses indoor and outdoor work.
- The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
