The Diesel Tech is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining engines, brakes, and other parts of CDL trucks and heavy equipment and machinery, as well as performing preventive and routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns. Can work independently as well as on a team. Works under limited supervision.
CDL trucks, heavy equipment and machinery maintenance:
- Completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacement, air brake adjustments etc.
- Conducting inspections
- Repairing engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, and body damage
- Replacing parts and components
- Diagnose problems quickly and accurately
- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Med card and CDL preferred
Hourly rate is negotiable depending on relevant experience. Travel between worksites may be required.
