Diesel Service Technician Job Description:
We are looking to add a Diesel Technician to our current staff to work on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles. Our shop is a state of the art, clean, air conditioned shop. Applicants must have a Pennsylvania state inspection and Emissions license.
We are able to offer flat rate technicians up to $45 per hour to work on Sprinters.
Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays on a rotational basis

A Diesel Service Technician, inspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered vehicles, Mercedes Sprinters, Metris, and RV's on Sprinter chassis. Their main duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, performing recalls, maintenance and inspection items, and test driving the vehicle to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue.
Diesel Service Technician duties and responsibilities
Diesel Service Technicians collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs. They often have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Consulting with the Service Advisor and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required
- Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
- Performing maintenance on vehicles, ie: oil change, brake flush, replacement of filters, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Completing Pennsylvania State inspections
