Job Description
We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible to perform quality preventive maintenance, inspections and perform diagnosis and repair as required to prevent breakdowns on the road, reduce vehicle down time and improve fleet reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
- Manage and maintain part/tool inventory.
- Track and manage vehicle maintenance and history logs.
- Perform required inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Including tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and any other company owned equipment.
- Perform maintenance repairs.
- Scheduled repairs, malfunctions, road-call repairs and addressing all driver vehicle inspection report write-ups.
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
- Document all work performed.
- Keep and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical experience of 3-5 years troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing equipment.
- Knowledge of shop equipment & possess an appropriate tool set for the position.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
