Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and fuel systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment operation.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, air brakes, and electrical systems.
- Experience working with Caterpillar equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
