Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as fuel injectors, air compressors, and exhaust systems
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Experience with air brake systems and industrial equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of transmission systems and ability to perform repairs or replacements
- Familiarity with soldering techniques for electrical connections
- Expertise in brake repair
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients and addressing their concerns
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
