Summary Description:
- The Fuel Shop Technician may be responsible for inspecting parts, conducting tests, identifying their problems to determine what course of action to take, rebuilding various pumps, and cleaning parts.
- The Fuel Shop Technician may be responsible for all or various duties and responsibilities as listed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tests most fuel pumps in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Keeps all shop tools and test equipment in proper order.
- Services and maintains all testing and cleaning equipment.
- Assists in breaking down and cleaning equipment.
- Assists in rebuilding diesel pumps and injectors.
- Assists other technicians as needed.
- May be responsible for assisting in training new employees.
- Keeps the shop, shop bathrooms, and break area clean.
- Assists in other tasks that are needed to ensure quality customer service.
- Performs other tasks as required by the General Manager, VP of Operations, or Upper Management.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to speak and listen effectively.
