Diesel Engine MechanicQualifications and Responsibilities:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• 2-year Technical College degree or equivalent experience
• Must have own Basic Tools and toolbox
• Must be able to complete basic to complex mechanical repairs
• Perform repairs on all types of engines, drive trains, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems that are found on trucks and heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues

Diesel Engine Mechanic Working Conditions

• Inside and outside of the service shop
• Exposure to outside elements on a regular basis
