Shift: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
The Tool Room Die/Mold Technician (Toolmaker) is responsible for performing tooling maintenance and die repair and other related activities: disassemble, clean and re-assemble complex molds, convert and change over mold components to support production, perform preventative maintenance, conduct regular repairs and troubleshoot as needed
This position requires the ability to work on projects in a tool room environment and perform various machining/assembly operations to accomplish repairs, modifications, and maintenance of dies
Mechanical aptitude is required
Good troubleshooting and communication skills are necessary
Job Key Activities and Performance Indicators:
* Sharpening, polishing, changing over, and refurbishing a wide variety of progressive metal stamping dies,
* Visual and physical inspection of all components of the tools, such as Punches, Dies, Pilots and Springs.
* Surface Grinding Tolerances +, - .0002
* Grinding basic BRM and radiuses
* Troubleshooting progressive stamping dies alongside our press operators
Education and Experience:
* High School diploma or GED.
* 3- 5 years Manual Equipment experience in a tool and die setting
* Advanced Blueprint Reading
Skills and Competencies:
* Knowledge of surface grinding, manual mills, and manual lathes is required.
* Mechanical aptitude required.
* Dependable and can-do attitude required.
* Ability to Grind radius's angles and basic forms Preferred.
* Knowledge of progressive metal stamping dies preferred.
* Ability to problem solve and work under pressure a plus.
* Candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial environment.
* Reliable transportation to be at work at scheduled time.
