Pay: $20-23 HR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Located at the DFW Airport. Manages all shift and ongoing activities related to the ramp and develops company personnel by performing the duties listed below, or through subordinates as directed by the Cargo Contract Manager/MOD. Must understand the operational contract obligations to our customer(s) and be literate with all computer systems related to the contracted operation. Must be well versed in all aspects of international cargo handling; warehouse buildup and breakdown, with a firm understanding of all associated regulatory concerns, and customs documentation. Instill in all employees that Customer Service is Job #1. Must be able to promote and train employees on proper phone etiquette and counter practices. Coordinate all Traffic Agents to be cross-trained to perform import/export duties, as well as, train the employees to be well versed with all customers in a multi-tenant facilities. Must be able to perform job functions of subordinates, as dictated by circumstances. Regularly reviews personnel and operating activities, directing the resolution of related difficulties. Routinely determines responsibilities of assigned staff positions to accomplish daily operational objectives. Leads, directs, and motivates employee workforce by means of basic management skill sets; including, but not limited to employee coaching, progressive discipline, and effective WFS management teamwork. Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company and customer policies and procedures. Provide ‘On the Job’ (OJT), customer, and recurrent regulatory training as required. Observe and enforce all WFS and government safety policies, regulations and directives. Hold all subordinate employees accountable for failure to follow all policies, regulation and directives. Observe and enforce all WFS and government security policies, regulations and directives. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Coordinates operations activities with all other functions of the organization to provide optimum services to our customers. Must understand the principle of aircraft weight and balance/load planning. Familiarity with security mandates generated from the following agencies is required; Transportation Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Local Airport Authority and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Two to five years previous management/specialist Ramp Supervisory experience in field service duties. Independent judgment and decision-making skills required. College degree or equivalent experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with personal computer software helpful. Airline pricing experience. Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret WFS Employee Handbook, WFS Supervisors Manual, applicable union contract, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical, procedures, or governmental regulations, airline policy and procedures manuals.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Ability to operate equipment and hold necessary licensing (if applicable).

Current IATA Dangerous Goods Training Certification is desirable.

Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

Ability to perform specific responsibilities related to your shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
