Position Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer at JSSI, you will be an integral part of our IT team, responsible for implementing and managing DevOps practices across our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline our software development lifecycle, enhance automation, and improve the efficiency and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain tools and pipelines for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with scalability, reliability, recoverability, and security in mind.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation to automate the provisioning and configuration of resources.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and optimal response times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment, performance, and infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Lead and/or serve as technical resource for a variety of cloud infrastructure and architecture projects, including migrations from on-premises systems.
- Ensure the security of systems and applications by implementing best practices and industry standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.
- Establish best practices and provide expert guidance to team members.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 - 5 years' experience as a Network or System Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong preference Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with Azure PaaS services including AKS, APIM, App Services and logic apps..
- Experience with Azure IAM services including AAD, Managed Identity, and Key Vault.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience configuring and securing Azure networks and a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with Azure security services including Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and Front Door.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
