- Review production systems to understand major technical components and relate them to business areas;
- Use Client Cobol to analyze routines, procedures, TIP screens, ECL, batch jobs and FTPs which make up discrete parts of the systems;
- Analyze DMS and RDMS database structures, data dictionaries and source code for discrepancies or inaccuracies;
- Document system specifications and solutions to facilitate knowledge transfer;
- Coordinate project activities among other team members, users, and/or requesters;
- Act in advocacy role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all relevant phases of the IES Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
- Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor and project leads;
- Level III- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer
- More than Ten (10) years of experience developing Client COBOL programs.
- More than seven (7) years experience working on complex projects
- Five (5) years' experience compiling and deploying Client COBOL programs to multiple environments (dev, test, production, etc.)
- Five (5) years' experience eliciting business requirements to be built in on a Client COBOL based platform
- Five (5) years' experience leading technical teams
- Five (2) years' experience supporting Client COBOL-based production systems
- Five (5) years' experience analyzing and extracting business rules from legacy systems using extraction software (i.e. Evovleware Intellysis)
- Six (6) months' experience conducting analysis and data conversion on legacy COBOL systems.
- Five (5) years' experience managing multiple priorities, simultaneously.
- Five (5) years' experience migrating from legacy systems to modern products.
- Five (5) years' experience in requirements definition
- Six (6) months' experience with Financial Management Systems
