Desk Top Support Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Desk Top Support Engineer I with our client in their New York, NY location. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Summary:

• Seeking a Desk Top Support Engineer I.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, support, repair, and maintain computer equipment, perform images on PCs and connect to data and applications servers to troubleshoot.
• Support and perform maintenance on file and application server software, hardware, and monitor network, server, and application performance and availability.
• Address potential systems issues in a proactive manner, resolving problems directly or working closely with support Engineers and other support groups whenever necessary.
• Take support calls and log issues into the problem management system. Diagnoses basic hardware and software problems by phone or email. Responds to customer inquiries and answers customer's basic questions.

Requirements:

• Education Requirement: HS at minimum.
• Education Preferred: IT Cert not required but preferred if no College. If College, no need for any IT Certifications.
• Software Skills Required (if applicable): Windows 10\11, Application installs and troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 2 years related work experience required.
• Minimum 1-2 years - Desktop Imaging and Deployment Skills, Basic PC Troubleshooting.
• Minimum 1-2 years End user support.
• Minimum 1-2 years - Software install\troubleshooting.
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Certification (Windows Desktop) a plus.
• MAC Experience not required, but a plus.
• Required Certifications: Not required, but any MS Certs helpful.

Pay rate range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly
