Designer - Print And Pattern

As we grow our team, we are currently seeking a new team member in the role of Designer - Print and Pattern for our corporate design studio.

Our Designer - Print and Pattern is responsible for creating and executing original designs for luxury wallcoverings. We are looking for an individual who is creative, process-oriented, and passionate about material and color. They will be working closely with our design team and manufacturers to oversee product development from conception to the final product. The following is a list of primary responsibilities.

Create unique marketable patterns/artwork for wallcoverings based on collection themes and industry trends

Demonstrate a good understanding of design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Utilize them with material and craft technologies to develop a distinct style of artwork

Work closely with the design team to research Interior industry and material trends

Color match and develop palettes that maintain and expand the Innovations brand identity

Build strong relationships with our manufacturers to oversee product development and ensure production standards meet the brands' requirements

Assist our Custom Design Lab with design requirements like modifying existing Innovations products or interpreting design concepts/ direction provided by the team that suit our client needs

Maintain the design studio and material library

Qualification requirements
Minimum 2+ years of experience in print design, textile design, wallcoverings, or related field. BFA or MFA in textile design or illustration/print Design

Good technical knowledge of Adobe Suite and Photoshop is necessary

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills can work with teams in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and highly organized, requiring minimal supervision

Has a keen eye to identify industry trends and interpret the brand’s direction and handwriting
