Seeking entry level engineers who enjoy the design side of engineering working on solar racking projects. Solar is a new industry and APA will mentor and train.
Job Duties
- Prepares layouts, assembly, and detail drawings for new or improved products.
- Develops any required design/detailed engineering drawings and/or specifications for the completion of a project.
- Develops and tests components for new and existing products or tools, with emphasis on feasibility and cost savings
- Will use computer software to analyze various structural design requirements and is responsible for developing ideas and providing innovative solutions for new or existing products.
- Participates in conceptual design meetings with other engineering staff.
Position Requirements:
- Experience in Design and or engineering related field
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Design Engineering or related field
- Ability to use CAD software – preferably Autodesk Inventor 3D and Autodesk AutoCAD 2D
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with FEA Analysis
- Troubleshooting through trial and error resolution
- Problem solving
- Willingness to learn new skills & processes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products focusing on Word & Excel
