Under minimal supervision, provide moderately complex to complex drafting and technical design support in the development of systems as requested.  Carry out assignments exercising considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

Using AutoCad and/or Microstation develop drawings that conform to drafting standards per ISO-9001, Spec. TQAP204, from verbal or written instructions. i.e. Sales proposals, P&I Diagrams, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Loop diagrams, IO List/ Wiring List or dimensional drawings
Obtain design information from engineers for project drawings
Provide technical direction to others
Maintain drafting files as required
Create freehand sketches of schemes and ideas for use on projects
Develop/modify drafting standards creating efficient drawings in a standardized format
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
Provides technical direction to others

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
3+ years computer drafting experience or equivalent education and experience

Creative design capability
Efficiently create complex panel drawing packages with minimal error
In-depth understanding of control panel design and relay logic
Ability to work as part of a team
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Autocad, and/or Microstation software
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports, and documents.  Ability to effectively present information to customers, management, and co-workers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.  Must have a working knowledge of electrical theory, equations, and principals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in various formats.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
