SalaryDermatology office is seeking a Medical Assistant who must be flexible, reliable, eager to learn, and a team player. Must have at least 1 year of working experience as a back-office Medical Assistant in a dermatology office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dermatologists in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs
- Assist with dermatological procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as skin swabs and cultures
- Educate patients on proper skincare routines and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in dermatology office as a back office Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures and treatments is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
