Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Deputy Sheriff. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order within our community. You will be responsible for enforcing laws, conducting investigations, and ensuring the safety and security of our citizens.
- Responsibilities:
- Custody and care of arrestees.
- Maintain security within City/County facilities.
- Communicate with arrestees, attorneys, personnel of other government agencies, and the public.
- Respond to emergency situations within the facility
- Transport of inmates/arrestees to and from court room
- Perform searches of arrested subjects
- Account for inmate/arrestee property
- Serves protective orders and assists other units in serving orders to vacate, write of assistance and arrests on wanted persons
- Attend regular in-service training session
- Serves individuals with respective warrant (Probable Cause, Probation, Failure to Appear, and Parole)
- May be required to transport arrested subject to the ADC for booking procedures
- Receives, gathers, organizes, and compiles narrative/statistical data concerning work unit operations, reviews information to assure data accuracy/completeness
- Responds to weather and disaster call-outs and crime prevention
- Provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies as needed
- Requirements:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or acceptable HSE
- No felony or battery conviction
- Able to work any shift or duty schedule
- Successfully complete a comprehensive written exam, physical agility
- assessment, and oral interview
- Submit to Character and Background investigation but not limited to:
- Credit Rating
- Previous Employment
- Criminal Record
- Driving Record
- Be in sound mental and physical health verified by a physician designated
- by the Agency.
- There is no recourse to rejection by the Agency's physician.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,327.60 - $56,529.87 per year
