Deputy Sheriff

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Deputy Sheriff. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order within our community. You will be responsible for enforcing laws, conducting investigations, and ensuring the safety and security of our citizens.

• Responsibilities:
• Custody and care of arrestees.
• Maintain security within City/County facilities.
• Communicate with arrestees, attorneys, personnel of other government agencies, and the public.
• Respond to emergency situations within the facility
• Transport of inmates/arrestees to and from court room
• Perform searches of arrested subjects
• Account for inmate/arrestee property
• Serves protective orders and assists other units in serving orders to vacate, write of assistance and arrests on wanted persons
• Attend regular in-service training session
• Serves individuals with respective warrant (Probable Cause, Probation, Failure to Appear, and Parole)
• May be required to transport arrested subject to the ADC for booking procedures
• Receives, gathers, organizes, and compiles narrative/statistical data concerning work unit operations, reviews information to assure data accuracy/completeness
• Responds to weather and disaster call-outs and crime prevention
• Provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies as needed
• Requirements:
• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or acceptable HSE
• No felony or battery conviction
• Able to work any shift or duty schedule
• Successfully complete a comprehensive written exam, physical agility
• assessment, and oral interview
• Submit to Character and Background investigation but not limited to:
• Credit Rating
• Previous Employment
• Criminal Record
• Driving Record
• Be in sound mental and physical health verified by a physician designated
• by the Agency.
• There is no recourse to rejection by the Agency's physician.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,327.60 - $56,529.87 per year
