Job description

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is a department dedicated to promoting work-life balance, a positive work environment, a family friendly atmosphere, and professional growth opportunities.
Under the direction of a Deputy Inspector General, Senior, the incumbent will primarily perform duties involving the Intake Processing Unit (IPU) function, including processing and performing reviews of complaints received by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). The incumbent must act independently to resolve issues that do not require elevated OIG intervention. The incumbent is directly engaged in responsible, varied, and complex work stemming from intake complaints. The incumbent shall occasionally travel to prisons and regional offices to conduct research, gather evidence, and conduct interviews.
This position is eligible for nearly 100% telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. T ravel to respective regional prisons and office will likely be just 1-2 days per month.
Proof of California residency will be required if teleworking.
