Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is expanding the Deposit Services team by adding a Team Lead to the group. This individual is responsible for assisting the Deposit Services Manager with oversight of the daily functions within the Deposit Services area. The Team Lead is a principle contact for other departments to resolve questions and issues that arise as a function of daily processing and assure efficient service to Credit Union members and staff. This position is also responsible for monitoring departmental procedures and processes to identify inefficiencies and proposing, developing and documenting improvements; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; and providing routine updates to the Deposit Services Manager.

Some Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine the daily processing activities of the Deposit Services area to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Maintain a strong understanding of UECU deposit products and services in order to respond to questions.
- Evaluate workflows within the department to make recommendations on process and operational improvements in support of Deposit Services staff.
- Coach and support department staff.
- Evaluate member accounts to determine denial of Deposit Services as needed.
- Review and verify large dollar withdrawal transactions by check, ACH, bill pay, according to documented procedure.
- Perform daily Institution Balancing.
- Process all writs and levies received by Credit Union.
- Process Verification of Deposit requests received by the Credit Union.
- Perform monthly vault audit.
- Monitor escheat process ensuring accurate rendering of letters and preparation of funds escheated per regulations.
Education and Experience:
- An Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field is desired; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Specialized financial institution operations education and training.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions normally associated with financial institution in an operations environment.
- Leadership experience preferred.
