We're looking for a safety, customer and quality focused indvidual who is ready to develop their leadership skills! In this role, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing assembly team, ensuring on time deliveries are met for our customes and driving continious improvements.
What will you do?
- Leads the manufacturing team and supports Manufacturing Supervisor in planning work and executing on time delivery for our customers.
- Actively seeks opportunities to streamline and improve all production activities across all functional teams in a collaborative manner (continious improvement).
- Follows in-process inspection procedures, checks quality of work visually, and verifies inspections by completing records.
- Assists in transport and restocking assembly workstations with materials, parts, boxes, pallets, and supplies by use of stacker, hand pallet trucks, bin lifter and hands in accordance to Supervisor instructions and material routing plans.
- Escalates barriers and issues immediately to supervisor and necessary support functions.
- In conjunction with supervisor, evaluates employee performance and gives constructive feedback where needed.
- Supports training initiatives for the manufacturing team and ensures training plans are up to date.
- Drive the actions to get service level , quality products, WIP & insures productivity goals are reached.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
- Escalate any disruptions occurring during the shift according to the escalation process of (H&S, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance).
- Lead SIM cycle 1 according to SPS rules, ensuring the quality of information provided to the Supervisor for SIM 2.
- Drive in real-time adjustments of staff according to the needs.
- Has a safety, customer and quality first mindset. Follows all applicable environment health and safety requirements and interfaces with supporting teams where needed or where opportunities are identified.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Soldering experience preferred
- Experience with digital tools & applications: Microsoft Office Suite, Quality Tools, Performance Management Tools (LDS,DISS, etc.)
- Key Competencies: Customer Focus, Issue Resolution, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Control & Inspection, Health & Safety, Manufacturing Diagnostics, Achieve Results
