The Deposit Operations Department is responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to our Members. Deposit Operations handles all aspects of ensuring our members' transactions are processed timely, accurately and in accordance with the regulatory requirements. In addition the department provides support for all products and services offered including our digital channels and Cash Management Services.
The Deposit Operations Supervisor is responsible for staff support, audits, identifying and implementing process improvements, and plays a lead role in projects. This person is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Deposit Operations department and for overseeing various operational functions, including business and consumer ACH origination and processing, check inclearings, debit card processing, wire transfers, and supporting our digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and guidance to Deposit Operations staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the deposit department and lead initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Implement automation solutions and script writing to optimize Deposit Operations processes and improve productivity.
- Process all error resolution claims in accordance with Regulation E
- Manage all aspects of debit card processing
- Work directly with the auditors in completing all aspects of audit including preparation, and remediation.
- Develop and maintain standardized procedures for Deposit Operations tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy in execution.
- Coordinate and manage projects related to Deposit Operations, including system upgrades, process enhancements, and new product implementations.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the deposit department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions.
- Develop and implement training programs for Deposit Operations staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between the deposit department and other internal departments, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
- Previous supervisor experience required.
- Previous experience managing digital banking platforms, their functionalities, and associated regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in banking operations, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements associated with all payment channels.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
