SalaryThis position is completely entry-level in dentistry, no dentistry or healthcare experience is required. We are looking for motivated individuals interested in getting their foot into the door of dentistry! Our highly experienced and compassion team will train you from the ground up from entry-level into a full-fledged Dental Assistant. You will be provided with the support and tools that you need to succeed.
Enable Dental teams bring dental care to underserved patients in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing homes. This is not a traditional, brick-and-mortar office! This is a stepping stone into the dental field which could lead to opportunities such as a lead assistant, clinical practice manager, and more! Dental Scribe / Assistant Trainee Job-Type: Part-Time, 3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday or Friday (rotating) 8:00AM-5:00PM (No weekends, no nights)
Dental Scribe / Assistant Trainee Requirements:
- Current driver's license - comfortable driving a small van - clean driving record
- Full COVID-19 vaccination and boosted (or) Valid, documented exemption
- CPR and First aid certification (We will help you acquire this)
- Radiology / X-Ray license (We will help you acquire this)
- Top-notch communication skills
- Strong computer skills
Dental Scribe / Trainee Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist and hygienist with common dental procedures such as (fillings, crown preparations, crown seats, extractions, dentures, and root canals)
- Chairside assisting
- Free-hand x-rays
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
- Keep the sterilization room clean and well-stocked
- Dental equipment and tool sterilization
- Maintain autoclaves and units
- Provide compassion and understanding to all patients
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs
- Must be comfortable driving between senior living facilities to see patients
- Coordinate accepted treatment and lab cases
- Maintain an office that is stocked with supplies and products needed to make the days run seamlessly
- Travel with the dental team to each treating location helping to load and unload the van, driving the company minivan
- Be familiar with compliance tasks and willing to do them weekly
- Strong sense of ownership
