The Kumon Math and Reading Center of Ann Arbor South-East, operating since September 2011, is located at 3086 Platt Road, Ann Arbor.
Classroom Hours
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:30PM to 8:00PM
Position Description
We are looking for an individual who is energetic, enthusiastic, team player who is smart, sharp, and have strong academic, organizational, and communication skills. The qualified candidate will build and maintain positive student interactions and motivate students to learn by practice. Candidate must be prepared to work at the fixed Classroom Hours. The classroom Assistant is responsible for assisting the Kumon Instructor in the overall running of the center.
Responsibilities
The classroom Assistant will help with day-to-day center operations such as but not limited to grading papers, maintaining student study records by recording the completion times and scores, assisting students in Oral Reading / Reading Comprehension/ Math from counting to Calculus. Well versed in social media platform for marketing and customer engagement.
Candidate Profile
- High school senior looking for a part time job open to work during the classroom hours on Tuesday/Thursday/Both
- Students currently working towards a degree.
- Stay at home parent with Math / Science / Early education major
- Qualified person who wants to add additional part time hours
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of Calculus between senior year High school and Sophomore year of college or a college degree
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the job
Other Requirements
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- 17+ years of age
- Have a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Reliable and Punctual.
Pay depends on qualifications and experience.
