SalaryOur single provider dental office is seeking a part-time receptionist for the following hours:
Monday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Alternating Wednesdays 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM and 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM
Alternating Fridays 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Open Dental Software
- Receiving new patient forms through a digital platform and updating patient's records
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and medical history
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect payments for services rendered and provide receipts to patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple incoming calls
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Word Processing skills, such as using Microsoft Word
- Comfortable importing and exporting files on a PC through PDF and JPEG formats
- Experience with dental software such as Open Dental is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with other staff members
