Duties

- Review and analyze dental records and medical history to ensure accurate coding and billing

- Assign appropriate codes for dental procedures

- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment

- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Collaborate with dental providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding

- Assist with the preparation of reports and audits related to coding and billing

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

- Certified Dental Coder (CDC) certification strongly preferred

- Proficient in dental billing procedures

- Experience working in a dental practice setting preferred

- Knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement guidelines

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $22.08 - $27.99 per hour
