Overview:
Our growing company is seeking a diligent and experienced Dental Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our team at a competitive hourly rate of $18-$20/hr with the addition of participating in an exceptional bonus program. Full time, in-office candidates working from Houston, TX are preferred but part-time and/or remote work may be considered on a case by case basis.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in dental insurance credentialing, with a focus on insurance aging and troubleshooting. This role entails ensuring the timely and accurate credentialing of dental providers with various insurance companies, as well as managing insurance aging processes and resolving related issues efficiently.
Sample Responsibilities:
1. Dental Provider Credentialing:
- Manage the credentialing process for dental providers with insurance companies.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate for credentialing purposes.
- Coordinate with dental providers to gather necessary information and resolve any credentialing-related issues.
- Optimize credentialing status with insurance and reimbursement.
2. Insurance Aging Management:
- Monitor and manage insurance aging reports to ensure timely payment of claims.
- Identify and address any delays or issues in the payment process.
- Work closely with insurance companies to resolve aging claims and expedite payment.
3. Troubleshooting:
- Investigate and troubleshoot insurance-related issues, including claim denials and rejections.
- Collaborate with dental providers and insurance companies to resolve issues efficiently.
- Develop strategies to prevent future issues and streamline processes.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of credentialing activities and insurance aging processes.
- Generate reports on credentialing status, insurance aging, and resolution of issues as needed.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, dental providers, and insurance companies regarding credentialing and insurance aging matters.
- Collaborate with billing and administrative staff to ensure smooth coordination of activities and support
- Provide guidance and support to team members on credentialing and insurance-related issues.
6. Reports and KPI Review
- Run and prepare reports and progress on the aging accounts receivable and
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental insurance credentialing, with a focus on insurance aging and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software and insurance billing systems.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in dental insurance credentialing is a plus.
