As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office by managing appointment scheduling and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Duties:
RDA dental assisting license to assist partly in the back with the dentist as needed.
Main responsibility will be to manage the schedule so that it flows and is productive.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the office calendar
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure proper scheduling and availability
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Utilize electronic systems for scheduling, such as Dentrix software
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental scheduling procedures and systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple calls simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated
