Form of workThe office of Gateway Dental Care is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant or an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team.
(Hourly pay based on experience) from $14 -$18
Looking for applicants that are upbeat, team players, eager to learn, motivated, dependable, super friendly, and able to multitask in a fast-paced dental office environment.
- Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for patient exams.
- Assisting dentist during procedures
- Taking and processing X-rays of patients
- Processing lab work for the dentist
- Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene
- Updating and maintaining dental records
- Placing restorations and making temp crowns
- Education- High School diploma/GED/ Certificate for EDDA
- Excellent organization/ communication skills/computer skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant (1-2 yrs preferred)
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
- Additional certification or training is an asset
