Job Summary
Our friendly Periodontal Office is seeking a qualified and caring Dental Assistant to join our team and help lighten our ever-increasing workload! This part-time position will require up to 3 days a week, typically Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. Since we are a Periodontal Office, you will be chairside for procedures such as extractions, bone grafts, implants, gum grafts, crown lengthening, and more. Other responsibilities will include sterilization of dental instruments and operatories, periodontal charting during exams, taking x-rays, impressions, and front office/phone work as needed.
The ideal candidate has an associate's degree from a certified school, previous experience with periodontal procedures, and experience with Dentrix. This is a digital office, so if you do not have experience with Dentrix you should be comfortable with computers and quick to learn new software systems.

Responsibilities
Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
Assist the dentist during procedures and exams
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
Front office/phone work/schedule appointments
Qualifications
Radiology certificate
Current CPR/AED
Strong computer and data entry skills / experience with Dentrix preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to provide high-quality patient care
