Edgar County Dental Clinic is part of the Edgar County Public Health Department in Paris, IL. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside
-Assist the dental hygienist during dental clinics
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Update medical history records
- Follow infection control protocols at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to take direction and work with a team
-Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
