Job Summary:

Part-time hours are: Monday and Tuesday 7:45-1:00 and 2:00-5:15, Wednesday and Friday are 6:45-12:15.Average weekly hours are 28-30 with full-time benefits. Paid uniforms, paid time off; paid holidays with several week-long vacations throughout the year.

The Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the dentist during the chairside procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an eagerness to learn. The Dental Assistant will be expected to take initiative in all aspects of the office, including but not limited to patient care, safety and security of patients and staff, equipment maintenance, inventory management, safety protocol on all tasks at the office and within the dental practice.

Job Duties:

• Assisting the dentist during the chairside procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist.
• Assist the dentist during procedures handing him instruments and anticipating need.
• Take all necessary digital X-rays and intraoral photos.
• Make temporary crowns.
• Process lab work for the dentist, prepare cases to go to the lab.
• Greet and seat patients as they arrive for appointments.
• Update and maintain dental records..
• Refill and restock all products in the operatories.
• Monitor supplies needing to be ordered.
• Assisting the hygienists in turning their rooms over in-between patients when time allows.
• Enter chart notes for the dentists approval.
• Assist in monitoring the laundry of uniforms.
• Assisting in keeping all rooms clean and equipment sanitized and spotless.
• Shut down rooms and computers at the end of the day, empty trash, finalize sterilizing of all instruments and shut down sterilization area.
• sterilize all trays, wrap, process and re-set all cassettes and instruments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
