We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist and providing excellent patient care. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, passing instruments and materials as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
- Perform dental x-rays and process them for review by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts as necessary
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient in dental assisting procedures, including taking impressions, pouring models, and fabricating temporary crowns
- Familiarity with our dental practice management systems, such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
