```Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in . As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and other team members to provide high-quality dental care to our patients.
Work 3 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and record patient information in electronic medical records
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental lab tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Provide support to the front desk as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information
-Perform routine maintenance tasks for dental office equipment and instruments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Oregon X-rays Certification
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Experience with medical coding and billing preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
