- Night $5.00/hour
- Premiums:
- Weekend Premium $4.50/hour
- Standby Premium $4.00/hour
- Per Diem Premium 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Densitometry (DEXA) Technician is responsible for performing bone density scans using an approved bone densitometer. This position works at a technical level requiring limited supervision. Work situations require the knowledge and skills needed to apply the prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis by densitometer. The technician has knowledge and understanding of age related care needs for adult and geriatric patients. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians. Internal contacts include nursing service staff and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school graduate/equivalent. Medical Assistant or equivalent training preferred.
Experience
1. Bone density experience preferred.
2. Medical Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
3. Minimum of one year experience in a clinic, hospital or medical facility.
Licensure/Credentials
1. Certified X-ray Technician with Washington State Department of Health.
2. Certification with International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) as a Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) or able to obtain certification within one year of hire.
3. BLS certification.
