Role Summary:

As a Demand Generation Marketing Manager, you will build awareness and leads coming from several warm and cold channels to drive the growth of Prefect Cloud. You are a versatile marketer, self-serve data person, and have an interest in technical concepts in data engineering.

You will manage a variety of channels to communicate with our core personas—the data engineer and technical management—including paid ads, outbound, email, social, events, and more. You will both build new campaigns from the ground up and optimize existing ones by creatively improving their performance.

We are a mighty marketing team of 3; you're just as excited about focusing on our channel distribution strategy and measurement, as you are to work in a startup environment and take on challenges to grow your experience.

You will report to our Director of Growth Marketing, Sarah.

What You'll Do:

• Your number one goal will be to drive leads and traffic, spread between our product ecosystem and high intent leads for sales
• Conceptualize and execute campaigns across multiple channels including paid advertising, email, social, events, and more
• Be comfortable both nurturing existing subscriptions and creating new cold contacts through the channels at your disposal
• Be extremely data-driven by measuring, experimenting, and optimizing effectiveness of channel performance through different formats, phrasing, segments, and automations
• Partner with different teams including: sales on driving high intent leads, product marketing on promoting launches, and analytics on measuring impact

Your Qualifications:

• 4+ total years of work experience across analytics or growth marketing
• A hunger to understand, reach and influence our category of engineers
• Comfort with SQL and exposure to the data engineering ecosystem, including some of the following:
  • Data Movement (Fivetran, Airbyte, Reverse ETL tools)
  • Transformation (dbt, custom Python)
  • Data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) Orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, Luigi)
  • Serverless and/or containerized infrastructure (Google Cloud Run, AWS ECS, Docker + Kubernetes)
• Experience with marketing automation tools like CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc), email marketing platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, etc), CDPs (Segment, Amplitude)
• Desire to lead by example in an enthusiastic and collaborative environment
• The ability to bring an eagerness and flexibility to tackle growth challenges while being able to easily context switch

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is ($95,000-$137,000). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and work location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Your recruiter can share more about the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please keep in mind that equity is not included in the range provided above and will represent a significant part of your total compensation. Benefits and any bonus or incentive compensation is also not included in the range provided above.
