We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our deli department. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and fryers in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including proper food handling and storage
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Upsell additional products or promotions to customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Experience working with POS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients is beneficial
